New Summer trend: The tattoo-kini

Do you want a tattoo? But only for the summer? An Italian Company has made a bikini named Skin. If you wear this bikini you will get a heart shaped spot on your right buttock. But you have to lay still otherwise this heart changes in a brown strange spot. And you have to use sun block otherwise you have to sit on a burning heart.

I wonder what is the added value of a heart shaped brown spot on your buttock.

Evolution gets a helping hand

Is it a strawberry, or is it a pineapple? No it is an pineberry. The britisch supermarket Waitrose sells these white strawberries with pineapple taste.

The spokeswoman of Waitrose expects that this fruit, in a short period of time, will be found in a lot of people’s home. She thinks it will make desserts and fruit salads look special and give them a refreshing taste. The Pineberry originally comes from Southern America. Foodjournalist Bob Grandlee wrote in the Britisch newspaper: “The pineberry smells like a strawberry but tastes like water with sweetener, it is awfull!”.

I would like to taste this fruit if I am honest. I think it is cool that people try to change existing product and make new ones out of them. If this fruit is a success? No I do not think it is, but if people keep trying I eventually will be.

Introducing NU.marketing

Hello everyone!

I almost forgot, but I will introduce myself to you. My name is Laura and I study sport & entertainment marketing. Next year of school I will start the minor E-commerce and social media.

I started to write a blog because I always liked writing and I like marketing. I am new at writing a blog so if you have tip and tricks I would like you to inform me.

In my blog I will write about gadgets, marketing and my point of view on things. Like my first blog I published, about the iPad. The name NU.marketing comes from a well known new site NU.nl. This site brings the latest new, as well as my site.

I am a Dutch girl but I will write my blog in English so more people can read it. I hope you will enjoy my blogs and come back to read them often.

iPad? No thank you!

A lot of people are psyched about the iPad. Not me! My god, am I underwhelmed by it. It has some absolutely backbreaking failures that will make buying one the last thing I would want to do. I believe people do not even think about the failures but just want the new apple gadget, because apple is so cool. Yeah they are, but this time you will get ripped off.

I have been that kind to list the failures, so you can rethink your decision on buying one of those things:

• The iPad itself is unlocked. You can use it with any Micro SIM card. But what the hell is a Micro SIM card? It is not the same kind of SIM that’s in you iPhone, so do not expect to just pop that in and surf for free. It is a totally different standard, and the iPad is the only device that uses it right now. Now you think well I will just buy one of those things, I need it any way for the new iPhone 4G. Even if, say, T-Mobile released a Micro SIM card, the iPad can't connect to its 1700MHz 3G network
• No Multitasking?! The operating system on the tablet is based on iPhone OS, which is in turn loosely based on OS X. In other words, it's got the same guts as the iPhone, as well as a somewhat similar interface. What this means in practical terms is that you can only display one app at a time, and there aren't windows. This is a backbreaker. I can’t have my twitter app open at the same time as my browser!? This alone garantees that I will not buy this product.
• iPhone apps. The iPad runs iPhone apps right out of the App Store, with no modification, but they're either relegated to the center of the screen or in "pixel double" mode, which just blows them up crudely. Any apps you've purchased for your iPhone can be synced, for free, to your iPad.
• No Cameras! No front facing camera is one thing. But no back facing camera either? Why not? I can't imagine what the downside was for including at least one camera. Could this thing not handle video iChat?
• No Flash! No Flash is annoying but not a dealbreaker on the iPhone and iPod Touch. On something that's supposed to be closer to a netbook or laptop? It will leave huge, gaping holes in websites.
  
  Just wait for the next version, maybe that one will be better.
